Yesterday SSTG published a blog about missing Springfield man Achim Bailey, and the extremely shady guy named Dante Pagan who “found” his cellphone on the railroad tracks and turned it on despite the fact that it’s allegedly been there for 12 days.

 

Considering they don’t know each other, the fact that he’s so invested in this is bizarre. But the most important part to remember is that a cell phone left in the snow and rain for 12 days could not possibly function. Either someone else planted it there just minutes before he found it, or he brought it with him. You tell me which is more likely.

Well, we have a couple new developments. Exhibit A – it turns out that this guy has been selling cell phones on Facebook for months now.

I’m not saying that he robbed Achim for his iPhone and then killed him when Achim fought back, but the District Attorney of Hamden County might suggest that as a motive.

Then there’s exhibit B – his baby momma. Here’s what she wrote on the day that Achim disappeared.

And the next day.

And 4 days after that.

This man is clearly a shitty father, and that could be for a number of reasons. I’m not saying he ignores his family and steals iPhones to fuel a drug addiction, but a prosecutor certainly might suggest that as a motive.

Then there’s exhibit C.

A flashlight? Da fuq do you need a flashlight for? I’m not sure, but an ADA might suggest that he was moving a body or doing something nefarious under the cover of darkness.

Exhibit D is a video from Sam’s, the bar where Achim was kicked out of and last seen by his friends. There’s a guy who you can see following him in a hat in the video. I don’t think it’s Dante Pagan though, so I won’t embed it. A lot of people do though, and you can see it here if you want. I highly doubt that if Achim was killed that the guy who killed him followed him from the bar because he spilt a drink on him. After all, Aaron Hernandez died 2 years ago. I think he was wandering around in a terrible area down by the river, someone tried to rob him, and things got ugly. Perhaps they were trying to rob him for his iPhone.

Exhibit E is an interview that a man named Keno White, a local man known to help out in the community, who has been helping lead volunteer search parties for signs of Achim, did with Western Mass News. Keno, by all accounts, is a decent guy with good intentions, who got dragged into this by Dante. Watch.

Keno did NOT find the phone. Dante gave it to him because he’s been following the search groups on Facebook and identified Keno as a leader. If he were smart he would’ve just given Keno the phone and no one would know who he was. Or if he did it he should’ve thrown it in the river the night it happened. But because he loves the publicity he ran to the Find Achim page and bragged about being the one who found the phone.

Exhibit F – Dante took all his shady comments and posts down after we blogged about him. His page was wide open before, and you could go through day by day and see his 5 billion posts a day. Now you can’t see anything except for the most recent stuff, because he’s not smart enough to figure out how to hide his page completely.

Exhibit G – He posted the interview from Exhibit E an hour ago, because he can’t stop openly admiring his work.

A lot of people are saying, “Why would he be that dumb?” I give you exhibit H:

This is clearly a very stupid individual who has displayed violent and threatening tendencies, who is clearly emotionally unbalanced, who is obsessed with this story, AND who happened to find the cell phone which was functioning perfectly after being buried in snow for a week.

Then I will point out that it’s very, very, very common for killers to participate in the search for the people they killed. It gives them close proximity to law enforcement so they know what areas are being searched. Plus, sick fuckers like this like to admire their handiwork because they get off on it. Let me tell you a personal story to prove my point.

I was living in Worcester in 2008 when I woke up one night and a man was in my bedroom with no shirt on, with a bandana around his face. He demanded my car keys (it was 4 AM) and told me he wouldn’t kill me if I gave them to him. I told him I couldn’t see so I had to turn the light on (while shitting my pants). He, for whatever reason, stepped outside of the room so I barricaded the door and called the police. By the time they got there we tried to enter my roommates room but it was obstructed. The cops kicked it off it’s hinges and my roommate (who I didn’t know was home) woke up screaming, “don’t shoot me!”

The cops all thought I was a drug dealer who got robbed because the story was crazy as shit, and I’m sure in most of these cases that’s what happened. But then fifteen minutes later the cops were taking my info when another cop came in from outside and said, “there’s a guy outside asking if everything’s OK and we want you to take a look at him.” I had him take off his shirt and immediately recognized a tattoo. It was him. This is what dumb criminals do – they go back to the scene of the crime and offer to help.

I’m sure the Springfield Police are focusing on him as a subject and obviously haven’t told him yet. I don’t wanna blow up their investigation but talking about this shit is what we do. Plus, with all the evidence in these last two blogs there’s plenty of evidence against him. The cops start asking him questions and they’re going to get to the bottom of this. Without a body it’s harder, but you don’t need a body to arrest someone for murder.
