Dominican Police Arrest Oliver Mirabal For Allegedly Shooting David Ortiz, Past History Of Murder Convictions, Gang Activity

The other day they arrested Eddy Féliz García for his involvement in the shooting of David Ortiz in Santo Domingo shortly after he was repeatedly kicked in the face while awaiting for the arrival of police officers.

His lawyer claims that he was not involved in the plot though.

Solano said his client did not shoot Ortiz, but works as a motorcycle taxi driver and may have unwittingly driven the shooter to the scene, CNN reported.

This morning, according to Dominican media, they have arrested another man named Oliver Mirabal, who many are reporting was the shooter.

Here’s what we know about Mirabal:

  • He’s a member of the Gilibert Gang, and infamous Santo Domingo organization involved in drug dealing and tied to many murders.
  • According to the newspaper of record, he was sentence to five years in prison for his involvement in a 2015 execution of 4 rival gang members.

There criminal justice system must model itself after Massachusetts.
